David Lord is a paediatric interventional radiologist from Sydney Australia. He has a special interest in the treatment of vascular anomalies. He is a member of the scientific committee of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies and part of the working group for the classification of these lesions. His main areas of interest are vascular disease in children, optimising care of the paediatric patient and therapeutic embolisation.
Dr Lord trained in radiology at Royal Prince Alfred hospital in Sydney with fellowship training at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Childrens Hospital Boston where he subsequently joined the faculty of Harvard Medical school as an interventional radiologist in the vascular anomalies centre. Since 2004 he has worked at Children’s Hospital at Westmead as interventional radiologist with honorary appointment at RPAH Sydney.
