Gerard Goh

Interventional Radiologist, Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia

Dr Goh is an Interventional Radiologist and the Clinical Head of Radiology Research at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. In addition he is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer for Monash University. His previous appointment was with St George’s Hospital, London and St George’s University of London, UK.

He is the current president of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA), a council member and examiner for the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), chief examiner of the EBIR examination for Australia/New Zealand and a council member for the Faculty of Clinical Radiology for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.

In addition to a strong interest in research he has been involved with a number of clinical trials and first in man trials, several as the principal investigator for Australia. He has given over 85 invited presentations, been involved with 22 workshops and authored 3 book chapters.  He is an associate editor for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology and peer reviewer for several international journals.
