Dr Murthy Chennapragada is dual fellowship trained interventional radiologist based in Sydney and is one of the very few specialists in Australia with the unique training and experience in treating both adults and children using interventional radiology.
Murthy graduated with MBBS from India. He received basic radiology training in India. His specialty training includes fellowships in Paediatric radiology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australia, and in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is a Senior Staff Interventional radiologist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and at Gosford hospital. He is also part of Sydney Interventional Radiology Associates, a private Interventional radiology group in Sydney.
His areas of special interest include paediatric interventions and paediatric liver transplant related interventions, renal vascular interventions, dialysis access interventions and treatment of vascular malformations.
Murthy has published widely in Radiology journals and is a regular invited speaker at national and international radiology conferences. He currently holds academic position with the University of Sydney as a Clinical Senior Lecturer.
