Tan Bien Peng

Senior Consultant Radiologist & Deputy Head of Interventional Radiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore

Dr. Tan Bien Peng is Senior Consultant Radiologist and Deputy Head of Interventional Radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. Bien Peng received his basic medical training from the National University of Singapore, graduating in1997. He then entered Radiology training and became a Fellow of Royal College of Radiology (UK) in 2005 before completing a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, in 2009.

Dr. Tan’s main interests include vascular interventions, complex aortic stenting and the role of IR in trauma.  He has been a member of his hospital’s Trauma Committee since 2007 and has played a key role in establishing the use of endovascular techniques and integrating IR services within the institution’s trauma management framework. He also frequently features as faculty in Definitive Surgical Trauma Care Courses. His other roles include an active involvement in Radiology Residency education and he currently serves as council member of the College of Radiology at the Academy of Singapore.
