Dr. Terence Teo graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2006, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2008. After completing the United States Medical Licensing Examination, Dr. Teo underwent a year-long fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the University of Virginia, USA from 2009 to 2010 as a Ministry of Health-Health Manpower Development Programme (MOH-HMDP) scholarship recipient. In Virginia, he was under the tutelage of Professor Alan H. Matsumoto and Professor John F. Angle. Formerly a Consultant Radiologist at Singapore General Hospital and Deputy Director, Interventional Radiology Centre, Dr. Teo contributed to public service as a Visiting Consultant after joining ParkwayHealth Radiology in March 2013. Dr Teo has written for regional and international journals, and was actively involved in research. He was awarded the prestigious National Medical Research Council Individual Research Grant to study the effects of drug-coated balloons in prolonging the lifespan of haemodialysis access in 2011. He was also the Co-Chairman for the College of Radiologists, Singapore workgroup which published the 'Guidelines & Advisory - Informed Consent in Interventional Radiology' in 2016.
